# ISO 29119 Certification

### Case Study:

Hi, is the IEEE 29119 Software Testing is the latest? any one applying this standard?

Mainly, with compliance and with my humble experience raise this question here if you face such a scenario how to provide such evidence to comply there need or if there such accredited labs which give certification for developed products with that software testing ISO-29119 or similar.

#### Recommendation 1:

I work in regulated env and this can mean a lot of things. If your client is expecting you to operate with these standards and be able to demonstrate this during an ISO audit ? or are they asking u to follow best practices based on ISO ?

If its the first , you will need a lot of process and controls in place to be able to defend your work in an ISO audit - would recommend brining an SW quality expect on board. If its the second - u can interpret and create something simple which allows you to show how your following these standards.

### Case Study cont...

Actually we have one Public authority customer they are asking us to get compliance certification from ISO-IEC-or IEEE that our solution were tested and confirmed. Also that we are following ISO quality process and this is new requirement to me that i never asked to get certification specially for software solution only we provide certification if it is hardware embedded product to get some EMC and Environmental certification but not to our SW solution like Web\mobile application. so i am asking you as experts if you face such requirement and what to do in same case?
